Primark is an International retailer that offers the latest fashion, beauty and homeware. It opened its first store in Dublin in 1969 under the name Penneys and today operates in over 370 stores, in twelve countries across Europe and America.
As part of their continued expansion plans throughout England, Primark made the decision in early 2020 to develop a new store at Ventura Retail Park in Tamworth, with the new store due to open in early 2021.
The new store’s electrical infrastructure design included a diesel generator, to provide emergency backup power to the site during a mains failure. PM POWER was nominated as the preferred supplier to supply and commission a new 170kVA CUMMINS diesel generator.
The generator is fitted in a close fit, sound attenuated, canopy in Goose Wing Grey to comply with the planning requirements. The generator was successfully commissioned by the PM POWER Team in early January 2021.
